The guy riding this bike lost use of legs when he was hit by a drunk driver.  The bars extending from the side automatically come down (like training wheels) so he won't fall over.  As he takes off, he just pushes a button and they lift.  The bottom lil picture shows what happened after he was introduced - a long wheelie down the front straight - hauling buttocks.
