First Impression |
My first impression is what I generally expect from this company... quality. Gravis has been making quality gamepads for years, and when I upgraded my machine to USB I didn't want to spend an arm and a leg for a controller, but I wanted something that would last. I was not disappointed. |

Software Installation |
The beauty of USB, was evident here. Using Windows 98 I did not have to install software, just plug it in. With a simple gamepad (like this one), I don't want to have to install software... so nice decision. |

Software Controller Interface |
None, this gamepad uses the Windows 98 interface. Because I didn't expect an interface anyway, I did not deduct but gave it an average grade. |

Game Included |
Even though I didn't expect to see a game, it seems like one of those software companies would have wanted to package something to go with this game controller. The old Gravis gamepads used to ship with a cute game my kids really enjoyed. As I state later in the VALUE section, if it could affect the price - then they made a good decision. |

Help Instructions |
The enclosed CD was only for use with MAC, and even though with USB this type of gamepad doesn't require much documentation... there should have been an insert, small manual, or CD with a simple PDF (to at least talk about the features). |

Construction (Quality) |
The buttons always work, and this product would seem to work if a dump truck drove over it! |

Value (price for what you get) |
The gamepad is dependable, and besides wanting to see some software ship with it, the company delivers a fair value for the product. If shipping a game with the product would increase the cost, then I would rather not have a game. |

If you don't want to pay the big price for the best gamepads, but want something to play 'gamepad' games... this is a nice choice. |
