- My Vintage Slot Cars and Parts -
As of 2011, I am 49 and was racing slot cars in the early 80's. my father-in-law gave me his vintage collection of cars from when he raced in his 20's and 30's (which would put his stuff in the 1950's and 60's), parts, and box - and I used to take them with me when I would race.
Everything is here - bodies, engines, multiple chassis, wheels, axles, brushes, gears, controllers, stickers, and tons of other parts. The chassis include "Classic" and "Gar-Vic", engines include a rare square, bodies include a rare Plymouth Fireball 500. These are standard "model" size, not the little slot cars you see in stores.
I am in the process of getting educated on what I have. I am hopeful to meet with someone knowledgeable in the Salem OR area. At this time I am looking to sell everything I have as a package. There are more bodies and parts than what are shown, but I took photos of most of it. I'm not sure what other jewels can be found in those bins.
